Developing a game demands a lot from any developer, and even more from fresh and mostly inexperienced teams working on their first indie project. With this in mind, it is not surprising that usually their focus purely on game engines, gameplay and their creative ideas. Important factors such as user retention, community building and even finances are quickly pushed into the background.
The Indie Campus – Cologne | Retention and Monetization Summit – powered by 4Players will provide assistance and suggestions on how to keep the focus on the game, while still creating the right environment as well as mindset to prepare and release a fully functional game for an eagerly waiting audience.
INDIE HUB and 4Players are happy to invite (indie) teams from around the world to join informative lectures, workshops and discussions on September 14th and 15th.

We are looking for a few volunteers, who want to join the event team and support us. Explicitly it’s about moderating the session chats and collecting the questions in the chat for the Q&A afterwards, so it’s quite a cool role as you can really follow the individual talks/panels/workshops and dive deep into content. The program goes over two days and includes about 5-6 hours of content per day. Depending on the number of moderators, that would be 2 to 3 session “work shifts” per day. Each session lasts between 30 to 60 minutes (excluding the keynote opening on both days), the Q&A afterwards is moderated by the respective stream/stage host, so there are no activities for the session moderators here.
